Cancer Cells Thrive In Acidity. Restore The Body’s pH Levels With Just One Superfood

Ever heard of Dr. Otto H. Warburg? Dr. Warburg is a Nobel prize winner best known for his work on the process of oxidation and the metabolism of tumors. According to the Nobel Prize Committee, “he has shown, among other things, that cancerous cells can live and develop, even in the absence of oxygen”.

As you know, oxygen is essential for all life to thrive and survive. The fact that cancerous cells can thrive without it is perplexing, so here’s a little breakdown on how it works.

Dr. Warburg discovered that tumor cells obtain the energy required for their existence in two ways: by respiration (a process that requires oxygen) and by fermentation (an anaerobic process). In respiration they burn organic materials to carbon dioxide and water; in fermentation, they split glucose to lactic acid.

Both carbon dioxide and lactic acid are acidic, indicating that cancer cells essentially thrive in an acidic environment.
When tumors occur in oxygen-deprived environments, a protein called CHCHD4 triggers the release of HIF (hypoxia-inducible factor), a protein complex that stimulates blood vessel formation (angiogenesis) around the tumor as well as tumor migration.

This allows the tumor to continue to grow and spread throughout the body.

Since cancer thrives in an acidic environment, one of the easiest methods to combat it is by making your body more alkaline. Acidic foods like red meat, dairy products, GMO’s, refined grains and sugar are believed to contribute towards higher rates of cancer diagnosis and death because they contribute towards acidosis, a state in which your bodily fluids and/or tissues become too acidic.

Restore the body’s pH levels with Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass is an amazing superfood that is loaded with essential vitamins and minerals (including thirteen essential ones and dozens of trace elements and enzymes). Wheatgrass proponent Charles Schnabel claimed in the 1940s that “fifteen pounds of wheatgrass is equal in overall nutritional value to 350 pounds of ordinary garden vegetables”, a ratio of 1:23.

It is also a great source of Chlorophyll, which has been shown to naturally restore the body’s pH levels. Since most people, due to diet and environment, have an overly acidic body composition, the alkalizing benefits of wheatgrass are numerous and impactful.

Wheatgrass contains all minerals known to man (iron, zinc, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sodium and selenium are all present in wheatgrass in at least trace amounts), plus vitamins A, B-complex, C, E, and K. Moreover, wheatgrass is extremely rich in protein and contains 17 Amino Acids (the building blocks of protein)

Due to the amazing properties of wheatgrass, it can offer the following health benefits:

1. Oxygenates the body

Chlorophyll creates a highly oxygenated environment in your body which helps increase alkaline pH levels and helps eliminate Acidosis (a common problem in our society due to an overly acidic diet and environmental carcinogens). Cancer cells thrive in an acidic environment but cease to exist in alkaline environments.

2. Cancer prevention and treatment

Wheatgrass may help you prevent cancer. It could also supplement traditional cancer treatments. A 2017 study found that wheatgrass could slow the growth of oral cancer. Other studies have reached similar conclusions. A 2015 study, for example, found that wheatgrass slowed the growth of colon cancer and caused some cancer cells to die.

Wheatgrass may also improve the effects of chemotherapy. One study has found wheatgrass can reduce side effects associated with chemotherapy.

3. Detoxify the body

Wheatgrass helps prevent premature aging (due to antioxidant capabilities and presence of superoxide dismutase). Antioxidants such as flavonoids and phenolic acid help eliminate toxins and increase immunity and energy. Wheatgrass is a natural liver cleanser and blood purifier.

4. Digestion and gut health

Enzymes help to support overall gut health. Also, has been shown to help treat hyperlipidemia. Practitioners of traditional medicine have long used wheatgrass to reduce stomach pain and manage minor gastrointestinal problems, such as diarrhea.

Taking wheatgrass

Add 1 tablespoon (once per day) to any liquid drink (even plain water), juice, smoothie, etc.

While generally considered safe, most efficacy and safety information comes from the testimony of long-term users, not long-term scientific studies. Overall, wheat grass should be considered safe for all people (some individuals with grass allergies have reported adverse reactions such as swelling in the throat and nausea). If you are pregnant you should consult your physician before taking any dietary supplements including wheatgrass.
